What does the passport photo maker do?
Passport and visa photos must be an exact physical size, and the size depends on the country. Indian passports use 35 × 45 mm, Indian visas and OCI cards use a 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 inch) square, US passports use 2 × 2 inches, the UK and Schengen countries use 35 × 45 mm, Canada uses 50 × 70 mm and UAE visas use 43 × 55 mm.
Choose your document, upload a photo and the tool crops it to exactly the right proportions at 300 DPI, the resolution photo labs print at. You get two files: a single photo for online applications (with an optional maximum KB, since many portals cap uploads) and a 4 × 6 inch print sheet filled with as many copies as fit, ready for any photo lab or home printer.
Need a crop for something else? Switch to Crop to ratio and choose 1:1 for profile pictures, 4:5 for Instagram posts, 16:9 for YouTube and presentations, or 9:16 for Stories and Reels. Use the Keep in frame and Zoom settings to centre on what matters.

Tips for a photo that won't be rejected
Background: most countries require a plain white or off-white background with no shadows. This tool doesn't change backgrounds, so stand in front of a plain light wall with light coming from in front of you.
Face and expression: look straight at the camera with a neutral expression, mouth closed and eyes open. Remove glasses if the rules require it (the US and India generally don't allow them), and don't wear hats unless for religious reasons.
Head size: authorities specify how much of the frame your head should fill, usually about 70–80% of the photo height from chin to crown. Use the Zoom slider until your head fills the frame the right amount.
Rules change, so always check the latest photo requirements on the official passport or visa website before you print or upload. This tool gets the size right; the official guidance covers the rest.
Is it safe to upload my files?
Your files are processed on our own server, not sent to any third-party service, and are deleted automatically 30 minutes after processing. We strip location data from photos when converting them, and we never use your files for anything else.
